Massachusetts metal outfit Shadows Fall return to the UK for a series of dates in April 2013.

January 15th – Danish metal band Volbeat has revealed the band is in the studio recording a new album for release in Spring, 2013. Titled Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies, the sessions are being produced by Rob Caggiano, alongside Jacob Hansen, who has a long history with Volbeat having produced and mixed the band’s prior four releases. Caggiano’s producer credits include The Damned Things, Bleeding Through and Anthrax amongst others.

Me, who never lived the rock ’n roll life in the 80s, Im extremely happy to just look around nowadays and meet more and more bands, who give the feeling of that great, heroic time of rock and the life around it. This style seems that – thanks good- started to spread again, as a nostalgy nowadays, hopefully getting over one day the stupid trendy pop songs.

I met quite by chance Shock Rocket, a young band ruined in Italy. The four guys, -not more than 20 years old boys Im talking about-, not just play or try to play the rock n’ roll, they really live that life and the music at all. And its absolutely right: topics, songs, and the all enviroment around Marty, Marco, Andrew and Joey is full with the emotion what we usually love to call hard rock...

Och det ska dem, nere i källaren där klubben Pussy A Go Go huserar och jag känner mig genast mer hemma i de nedre regionerna där det är mörkt och mysigt än bland de fjantiga sportfånarna
När Styggelse från Göteborg gör entré ökar mysfaktorn ordentligt och deras punkiga black gör sig finfint från den här lilla scenen. Det känns exklusivt. Det hörs att Styggelse hämtat näring från den riktigt tidiga blacken och det råa, opolerade angreppet tilltalar mig mycket. Bandet har funnits sedan 2003 och under dessa tio år färdigställt några demos, en EP och fullängdaren ”Heir Today-God Tomorrow”...
