If you are planning to drive to Roskilde Festival 2013, we encourage you to fill up your car. It’s both more green, you’ll maybe get to meet new people, and if you are using the Ants ridesharing service you’ll gain even more benefits.

Special parking for all Roskilde Rideshare cars
All cars participating in Roskilde Rideshare with Ants are eligible for a reserved, free and centrally placed parking spot, if at least 4 people are sharing the ride. THE BEST APP-IDEAS HAVE BEEN SELECTED

Now it’s time to turn the ideas into festival-apps.

The winners of the Roskilde LABS idea contest have been found. Almost 70 ideas were submitted and three great ideas selected:

Fix my Festival by Martin Buch: an app that lets you tip festival officials about a problem that needs fixing. You take a picture and/or describe the problem and tag it with the GPS-location.

Music for Money by Mads Møller: a fundraiser app that allows concert-goers to raise money for charity by collecting donations from pledges for going to concerts.

Roskilde mAPP by Rasmus Fly Filbert: an app that combines the social life of the festival with the tracking of data for the festival to use to improve the festival experience.

Now it’s time to get coding

From stone age food to the local fare of Faxe, in the new Food Court at Roskilde Festival

This year, Roskilde Festival will introduce a Food Court on the inner square. The selection will be substantial and diverse, yet with an intimate feel to the square.

Here you can visit around 19 small market stalls, all serving two distinct dishes in order to create a happening and experimental dining area where you can experience all from traditional Danish family dishes to biodynamic food, paleo (stone age) diet, porridge and local cuisine based on ingredients from Lolland-Falster south of Copenhagen.

You will be able to taste a modern interpretation of signature dishes from the Faxe region – a crispy cabbage wrap, filled with beer braised beef, or steaming hot spring rolls and the Vietnamese national soup Phó from the food stall Crispy Hote...

VINNIE WHO IS OUR FIRST ACT ON ORANGE STAGE – KRAFTWERK THE LAST

Our opening act is a shining star on the Danish electro-pop scene – the closing act is the reason why there’s such a thing as electronic music in the first place. Roskilde Festival starts and ends with experiences unlike most other.
When the gates to the festival site open at 5pm Thursday afternoon on 4 July, it’s going to happen with an extravagant party. Known under his stage name Vinnie Who, Niels Bagge has established himself as Denmark’s finest prince of pop, gracefully disco-dancing through the best moments in pop history.

”It’s crazy! Every time I think of it, my stomach turns. It is without a doubt the biggest challenge; I’m facing as a musician, and a fantastic opportunity to become a part of the Orange Stage legacy...
