CAMPSITE
Campsite is free and right next to the festival!

The campsite doors open Thursday 19 June at 2pm upon presentation of your ticket. You will then be given your bracelet for the festival so all you’ll have to do is set up your tent !
BE CAREFUL ! This campsite is only for those holding a 1 or 3 day pass. When you arrive volunteers will give you a ”camping bag” with goodies but its main use is as a bin bag and a you’ll be given a token for every bin bag handed in. We rely on you to keep the site clean. A toilet block will also be available.

The Rock Werchter 2014 programme is set and includes 79 names. Fourteen new names complete the picture. Radkey and Bombay Bicycle Club have been added to the line-up on Thursday, July 3. Coely, Puggyand Paolo Nutini have been added on Friday, July 4.  Altrego, Jonny Lang, Twenty One Pilots, tUnE-yArDsand Ozark Henry will perform on Saturday, July 5. Oscar & The Wolf, Kuroma, Royal Blood and Lykke Licomplete the programme on Sunday, July 6.  The time schedules will be announced soon.

Bandsläppen duggar tätt just nu. Senast i raden av artister som är klara för sommarens Bråvallafestival i Norrköping är det ständigt omtalade och kontroversiella esset M.I.A. samt de två hyllade debutantakterna Haim och Banks. Dessutom kommer Petter att göra en specialspelning på festivalen.

Epokavgörande legendarer, humoristisk hair metal, hyllade debutanter och svensk rock. Spännvidden är maximal då Getaway Rock Festival nu kan presentera ytterligare 17 tunga band till sommarens festival.

Under förevändningen att de var det lovande hair metal-bandet som aldrig fick sitt genombrott under 80-talet, började Steel Panther giga sig fram på Sunset Strip i Los Angeles under början av 2000-talet. Det som började med parodiska covers och som en humorakt förvandlades till en internationell succé. Nu är Steel Panther aktuella med sitt fjärde album ”All You Can Eat”.

Några som definitivt fick sitt genombrott under 80-talet är Skid Row. Med klassiker som ”18 And Life” och ”Youth Gone Wild” var de med och definierade en epok, men 1995 splittrades bandet...

Temperaturen stiger och festivalsommaren närmar sig. Med mindre än fyra månader kvar till sommarens Bråvalla presenteras i dag fjorton nya akter till festivalen. Det handlar om nytt och gammalt, dansant och rockigt.

2013 var ett lysande år för svensk hiphop. Linda Pira, Stor och Mack Beats blev alla Grammisnominerade för sina insatser. De två förstnämnda kommer, uppbackade av Salazar Brothers, att ge en gemensam spelning på Bråvalla medan Mack Beats tar med sig Jaqe och Julia Spada. Dessutom innehåller dagens släpp även Chance The Rapper, som med över en kvarts miljon downloads, stod för en av fjolårets mest uppmärksammade mixtapes.

From danceable British rock to the king of Southern US thrash metal. Roskilde Festival in Denmark hardens the line-up with Kasabian, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Bl’ast, The Men and Rumble In Rhodos.

Throughout their 15-year career Kasabian have become true masters of the uplifting chorus and the close audience contact. Their danceable and artistic ambitions have turned the four guys from Leicester into something very special on the British music scene.

They played at Roskilde Festival’s main stage, Orange Stage, in 2010, and in 2014 the band returns for another show.

Roskilde Festival’s program director Anders Wahren says:

The line-up of Rock Werchter now includes 65 names. Seven names were added today. New for Thursday, July 3 are Daptone Super Soul Revue featuring Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley and his Extraordinaires, Antibalas, The Sugarman 3 with special guests Saun and Starr and Master of Ceremonies Binky Griptite as well as The Opposites and Arsenal. Sam Smith and Katy B confirmed attendance on Friday, July 4. The Temperance Movement will perform at Werchter on Saturday, July 5.Parquet Courts has been added to the Sunday programme. The line-up of Rock Werchter 2014 will be further expanded in the near future.

New names in the Sziget Festival line-up

The organizers of Sziget have announced a new list of names, already confirmed for the 2014 event. At the ‘Island of Freedom’ The Prodigy, Lily Allen, Ska-P and La Roux will also perform. Sziget Festival is held between 11-18 August.

Sziget is hosted on a beautiful green island in the middle of Budapest and is a perfect merge of a summer holiday and a festival experience. Besides many fun, art and activities, Sziget has already revealed some names from the 2014 line-up, as Queens of the Stone Age, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Skrillex, Placebo, Klaxons, Stromae, Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, Bastille and now they have announced a new bunch of names.

Eels is coming to Rock Werchter! The master and front man E announced that news early this morning. The band always surprises when performing live shows, both in terms of line-up and set-up. Things won’t be any different this summer. On Friday, July 4 E will perform with a group that plays the melodica, pump organ, mandolin, musical saws and other quiet instruments. Eels’ new album The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett will be released on April 21.

The confirmed acts for Friday, July 4 (in alphabetical order) are:
