Säkerhet, framtid, värdskap och upplevelser var i fokus när den svenska livemusikbranschen samlades på Sweden Live i Linköping den 17-18 januari. Under två dagar med montermässa, föresläsningar, showcase, möten och mingel möttes arrangörer, bokningsbolag och leverantörer.

Sweden Lives stora showcase, onsdagen den 18 jan, inleddes med prisutdelningen av Liveapan – ett arrangörspris instiftat av Sweden Live i samarbete med Livemusik Sverige.

Årets främsta arrangörer korades i kategorierna Årets Arrangör, Årets Venue, Årets Arrangemang, Årets Nyskapare, Hederspriset, samt Livemusik Sveriges pris för Årets insats.

HELLFEST WARM UP TOUR 2K17 : ONE HELL OF A RIDE
On last October, the Hellfest festival had the opportunity to sell all the 52 000 three days pass before announcing any band’s name. Victim of its own success and daily supported by a huge community of fans, the festival always tried to closely keep in touch with its festival goers, to listen to them and sometimes to meet them.

Waiting for the last weeks before the festival’s opening; the Hellfest Team will eat up the miles with its WARM UP TOUR 2K17: ONE HELL OF A RIDE. 12 dates, 12 unique events in which the team will come to meet fans and friends of Hellfest!

Starting on the 1st of December, there will be a lot of action going on at Wacken.com, Metaltix.com and in the whole W:O:A network!

We will release new bands for the Wacken Open Air every day until the 24th of December. More than 60 bands are waiting for you in our huge X-mas calendar!

Idag arrangerades en pressträff i Norrköping. Där gav polisen sin syn på säkerheten under årets Bråvalla Festival och Norrköpings kommun redogjorde för hur de ser på samarbetet med festivalarrangören FKP Scorpio. Dessutom presenterade FKP Scorpio några av de insatser som kommer att genomföras för att höja säkerheten och tryggheten inför nästa års festival.

På pressträffen avslöjades också ett kommande, flerårigt samarbete mellan Bråvalla Festival, Norrköpings kommun och RFSU, som går ut på att diskutera frågor gällande sexualitet, kommunikation och gränser med skolungdomar i Norrköping.

The second round of bands confirmed for BA 2017 is here! This time lets start with Swedish OPETH, unique metal act combining heavy riffs and prog elements for more than 20 years. British SIKTH will finally come to festival to play their influental music to the djent movement within progressive metal.

The other bands also do not need any special introduction: Greek gothic black metal matadors ROTTING CHRIST or American PRONG playing groovy crossover thrash.

Polish tech death metal DECAPITATED announced a special set to 20th anniversary. Another death metal act on the bill DESERTED FEAR is raging fierce take on the genre. Norwegian TSJUDER is known best for their relentless, aggressive approach to Black Metal. American COUGH is bringing their devastating heavy sludge/doom.

The first big batch of bands confirmed for BA 2017 is here! Let’s start first with bands, that were forced to cancel their appearance this year but will come to play for You in 2017: ELECTRIC WIZARD, NILE and TERROR. While ELECTRIC WIZARD are the best stuff the drug-infused sabbathian doom has to offer, NILE helped to reshape death metal with new themes and energy by the turn of the millenium and TERROR are years proven veterans of the HC scene!

The final five bands to close our line-up are funeral doom BLUES FOR THE REDSUN, wild bandit thrash CATASTROFY, prog metalcore FOX TERRITORY, noisy down-tempo post metal NOD NOD (well they go way beyond the genre limits) and promising post-hardcore electronica THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE. Sadly final change to the line-up is HOLY MOSES replacing WHIPLASH, who cancelled all of their European appearances.
