From danceable British rock to the king of Southern US thrash metal. Roskilde Festival in Denmark hardens the line-up with Kasabian, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Bl’ast, The Men and Rumble In Rhodos.
Throughout their 15-year career Kasabian have become true masters of the uplifting chorus and the close audience contact. Their danceable and artistic ambitions have turned the four guys from Leicester into something very special on the British music scene.
They played at Roskilde Festival’s main stage, Orange Stage, in 2010, and in 2014 the band returns for another show.
Roskilde Festival’s program director Anders Wahren says:
”Kasabian played their first Danish show at Roskilde Festival, and now they return with a new album and probably more attention than ever. So we think the time is perfect for a reunion with Roskilde Festival’s audience as Kasabian’s music is perfect for the kind of summer ecstasy we value so much here.”
The king of Southern metal
Philip H. Anselmo is regarded as the king of Southern US metal. Throughout three decades, he has bitten, frothed and foamed his way to the top in a career that includes highlights as Pantera and Down.
2014 finds him guesting Roskilde Festival as a solo artist for the first time. Together with his band The Illegals, Phil unleashes an ocean of bile in a tour de force of thrash and hardcore with maximum dedication and very little desire to please.
Also, hardcore-legends Bl’ast are added to the line-up along with the psychedelic pop from Norwegian Rumble In Rhodos and the fiery guitar rock from Brooklyn-based The Men.
