Jenny Wilson to play Roskilde Festival 2014

The acclaimed Swedish singer is ready for this year’s festival along with spiritual pop hymns from Danish act Hymns From Nineveh and muscular heavy rock from Swedish band Bombus.

Swedish singer Jenny Wilson with the crystal-clear voice is (wo)manning the barricades with her new album Demand the Impossible!

In 2014, she gets the chance to demonstrate to the Roskilde Festival audience that her Scandinavian mixture of R&B, Giorgio Moroder and alternative pop has become much more politically charged and hungry for life than before.

Roskilde Festival’s booker Stefan Gejsing says:

”Jenny Wilson is heading towards a new peak, and she’s one of the best acts out of Sweden right now. Her latest album is a true battle cry, and I’m sure that it will rub off on her gig at this year’s Roskilde Festival. Expect something both intimate and overwhelming.”

Jenny Wilson is added to the line-up along with Danish act Hymns from Nineveh fronted by songwriting talent Jonas Haahr Petersen who has opened his spiritual mix of pop, folk and alternative rock for a much bigger audience.

Third addition is Bombus – wild, classic and muscular heavy rock from Gothenburg, Sweden. This hard-hitting band is likely to become part of the same Scandinavian, hard rockin’ wave already including Kvelertak, Ghost and Graveyard who have all previously played at Roskilde Festival.

Jenny Wilson, Bombus and Hymns from Nineveh are the latest additions to a line-up already containing acts as diverse as Arctic Monkeys, Major Lazer, Haim, Pusha T, Carcass, Trentemøller and MØ.
