ALBUM TEASER TRAILER AVAILABLE NOW

Barsuk Records is excited to announce that Menomena will release their new album, Moms, on September 18, 2012 in the US and on October 8 in the UK. Moms is the Portland-based band’s fifth, and their first as a duo. A teaser trailer for the album (featuring a guest appearance by an indie-rock pug) is available below. In support of Moms, Menomena will embark on a North American headlining tour in Autumn, followed by dates in Europe and an appearance at the revered All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in the UK. Those tour dates are listed below.

Newport’s The Boy Royals reveal a brand new video for their forthcoming single, People Like Us.

Set for release on August 13th through Require Records, The Boy Royals have already gained support from numerous BBC Radio 1 and 6 music DJ’s, with their previous single ‘Teenage Sky’. Steve Lamacq chose them as his ‘New Favourite Band’ whilst Huw Stephens selected their single to be his ‘Next Hype’.

Scottish songstress Anna MacDonald has announced a free MP3 – Naj’s Song. A multi-instrumentalist, she plays the piano, guitar and clarsach, which she beautifully intertwines with Scots, English and Gaelic songs.

Universal Music Catalogue is scheduled to release Electric Eden, a new compilation, hand-picked by author and journalist Rob Young, on August 20th 2012. The two disc set is designed to serve as a companion to Young’s highly acclaimed book Electric Eden: Unearthing Britain’s Visionary Music which was published by Faber & Faber in 2010.

Technical rock act Mutiny On The Bounty have signed to leading UK record label, Best Before, who will release their second album, “Trials”, to a UK audience. After their debut received wide critical acclaim and a release on the respected independent label, Big Scary Monsters, they have taken the next step up with a new home and new sound for album two.

“Trials” was recorded in Seattle with top producer Matt Bayles, famous for his work with Pearl Jam, Mastodon and Fall Of Troy. Their math rock sound now incorporates electronic elements and greater melody without sacrificing the complex musicianship that won them their fanbase in the first place.

Auction for the Promise Club, are very lucky and super excited to be playing in the Olympic Park on the opening day, Saturday 28th July! The leading online music community, Unsigned Band Review (UBR) announced the initiative to give unsigned bands the chance to perform at a specially constructed stage in the Olympic Park as part of London’s 2012 celebrations from 28th July – 11th August.
