Since very first metalcamp, we supported metal community and newcomers by giving you slots at 2nd and main stage and promoting you with all big metal bands that played at our festival. We are aware how important newcomers are, and will continue to support you in the future as well….but we will ask YOU to support us as well!

This year we had almost 1000 bands, from all around the world, applied to play at METALDAYS 2013.
We just wonder how many of those bands are supporting us by coming to METALDAYS as visitors?  …we are talking about 4-5000 band members that would like to play at METALDAYS!!! Considering how many tickets we sell for METALDAYS we know that not many of those band members are actually coming to the festival that they would like to play…and this appears not fair to us.

Dear friends,

last week we have presented to you news about new payment system, vegan food, and security improvement. This week we will present another improvement to you.

From now on you will be able to buy E-TICKETs at our shop Ticket4You.
With this you will be able to save your shipping costs. Simply chose the E-TICKET option and pay with your credit card. You will receive your E-TICKET immediately. Everything you have to do is to print it and take it to the festival.
If you are still old school and you feel that you need your hard ticket, you can still purchase those as well.

Recently several bands and artists have accepted visas to the
Island of Freedom. Arriving straight to the Main Stage with their
latest release are the legendary Nick Cave and his Bad Seeds, as
well as the most popular alternative rock band of the 2000’s,
Franz Ferdinand.

Poet, writer, provocateur, rockstar. Nick Cave is all of these though not necessarily in
this order. Whatever he does is simply important. He makes era-defining records, he
creates and dismisses bands, whatever he touches turns not just into gold, but into a
timeless monolith. He is still harmonic even if he is off-key: with the Bad Seeds he
approaches the irregular consciously, just to make sure that all other notes wind up
exactly where they are supposed to be. When Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds hit the
stage the outside...

I sommar kommer några av landets största komiker till Bråvalla festival för att underhålla våra festivalbesökare i dagarna tre.

Det är Hangar 85 som vi förvandlar till en klassisk stand-upklubb! Vi kan med stort nöje presentera inga mindre än Jonas Gardell?, Magnus Betnér?, Özz Nujen?, David Batra?, Kodjo Akolor?, Marika Carlsson, Anna-Lena Brundin?, Måns Möller? och Thomas Järvheden?!

Roskilde Festival has partnered with the Scandinavian based ridesharing service Ants, to make sharing a ride to Roskilde easy, green and with special benefits for those using the service.
If you are planning to drive to Roskilde Festival 2013, we encourage you to fill up your car. It’s both more green, you’ll maybe get to meet new people, and if you are using the Ants ridesharing service you’ll gain even more benefits.

Special parking for all Roskilde Rideshare cars
All cars participating in Roskilde Rideshare with Ants are eligible for a reserved, free and centrally placed parking spot, if at least 4 people are sharing the ride. Other than save money on the normal parking fee, it’ll make the walk with all your stuff from the car to the camping grounds shorter and easier.
