Efter ett succéartat premiärår för Bråvallafestivalen i Norrköping, den största festivalen som någonsin har arrangerats i Sverige, är det nu dags att blicka framåt mot nästa sommar. Det första klara bandet till Bråvalla 2014 är inga mindre än IRON MAIDEN!

Nästa år ger sig IRON MAIDEN ut på turnén ”Maiden England World Tour” och spelningen på Bråvalla blir den enda som bandet gör i Sverige. Den extremt framgångsrika turnén ”Maiden England World Tour” har tagit sitt namn från den klassiska liveupptagningen från Birmingham 1988 och baseras på hits samt fanfavoriter från 1980-talet, varav vissa kommer bli framförda live för sista gången någonsin. Danish superstar Trentemøller performs his only concert in Denmark on Roskilde Festival’s Orange Stage this summer.

Trentemøller is high demand all over the world as a producer, DJ, songwriter and composer.

At Denmark’s Roskilde Festival in 2014, Trentemøller will deliver a live show that is likely to cross the analogue indie rock with streams of bubbling synths and techno beats as heard on his recent album Lost.

Trentemøller’s show on the Orange Stage will also be the only chance to experience this huge talent in his native country this summer.

Roskilde Festival’s program director Anders Wahren says:

Tidigare i veckan presenterades Volbeat som det första klara bandet till Getaway Rock 2014. Nu fyller vi på med ytterligare nio band. Bland annat är Opeth, Dimmu Borgir och Arch Enemy klara för festivalen.

Det andra bandsläppet till Getaway Rock är en blandning av black metal, death metal, power metal och hårdrock. Från den mörkare delen av metalmyllan hämtas norska Dimmu Borgir samt svenska Watain, medan Arch Enemy får stå för släppets melodiska dödsinslag. Dessutom är de ständigt nyskapande hjältarna i Opeth klara för nästa års festival.

Samtliga band i dagens bandsläpp är: Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Watain, Airbourne, Edguy, Doro, Powerwolf samt Skitarg. Därmed börjar konturerna för nästa års festival att träda fram.

Wacken Advent calendar starts on Sunday!

Our online Advent calendar is going to start on Sunday – as always on www.metaltix.com!

We will present new bands on a daily base (always at Midnight!) and raffle prizes there Every day we ask you a question about Heavy Metal or Wacken Open Air. Answer the daily question and fill in the contact form. Therewith you take part in the raffle of the daily prizes.
Every daily answer contains a certain letter for the main solution (the question for the main solution will be asked on the 24th of December), which consists of 24 letters. The main solution as well as your full address must be entered into the contact form under “prizes” (on the upper left of the calendar) which will not be activated until the 24th of December 2013.

Förra året slog Getaway Rock Festival i Gävle nytt publikrekord med 13 500 sålda biljetter. Då toppades affischerna av bland andra System Of A Down samt Deep Purple. Nu kan vi presentera det första bandet till nästa års festival – danska Volbeat är klara för Getaway Rock 2014.

Då publiken röstat om vilka band de helst vill se på nästa års Getaway Rock Festival tillhörde danska Volbeat de mest efterfrågade. Anledningen till det är så klart deras enormt energifyllda konserter, för även om Volbeat är lysande på skiva är det live som de ska upplevas.

Genom att blanda friskt mellan hårdrock, rock och 50-talssväng i form av rockabillyinfluenser har Volbeat erövrat så väl Danmark som stora delar av övriga världen sedan debutskivan The Strength / The Sound / The Soul släp...
