Sziget is the Island of Freedom and also the winner of the ‘Best European Festival Line-up Award’ in 2015. To live up to its traditions, the festival continues to build its identity upon a very diverse and open-minded program structure, making sure that it is much more than ‘just’ a music festival. Sziget tickets are selling with record speed this year, so visitors do well to buy their passes as early as possible. This year will bring along some new developments focusing on environmental protection, hygiene, spectacular installations and the quality of services. Sziget Festival takes place in Budapest between 10-17 August, 2016.

The world was infested with Czech grind by the turn of the century but if there was one act more bizarre, extreme, catchy but yet smarter than any of your generic gore bands, it was AHUMADO GRANUJO. And guess who just quit their hiatus to perfrom their chemical tekkno infused goregrind at BA 21? Yeah, you got it. Another atypical grind band on our roster comes from Poland and calls itselfANTIGAMA. Seems like we proud ourselves in being an atypical metal fest, right? You bet, that’s why we’ve asked American singer/songwriter CHELSEA WOLFE to perform for you. We have some death metal classics on the list, so to spice things up a bit we are welcoming whale death metal at it’s finest aka GOJIRA to the bill. From the hardcore ranks we’ll have upcoming stars DEFEATER and proved veterans

No more boring skiing vacation! That is the promise of Full Metal Mountain. It is the unique combination of winter vacation and heavy metal festival. After its successful premiere this year, the Metal Mountain will be back in March 2017. The booking of the travel packages starts at April 16th 2016.

Wacken, April 14, 2016 – It was an expedition into the unknown: two weeks ago 2,000 metalheads from 31 nations dared to climb the Full Metal Mountain! Equipped with battle-west and skis or snowboard they explored the metal ski area at the Nassfeld in Austria. Their findings let the metal and skiing heart beat faster: 110 kilometer of piste, five stages and over 30 metal and hard rock bands.

After the successful premiere this year, Full Metal Mountain will continue at the end of March 2017...

Frej Larsson headlinear Bråvallas förfest och värmer därmed upp och inleder festivalen på onsdagkvällen. För någon timme sedan såg vi honom stoppa trafiken och dela ut pizza till fansen när han och Erik Lundin brände av några låtar på Folkungagatan i Stockholm. Vi är glada och extremt förväntansfulla inför att låta Frej och hans vänner inta Bråvalla i sommar!

Där Frej Larsson är, där är festen. Rapparen och musikern Frej Larsson har segertågat med sin pimpade turnébuss raka vägen från Ronneby till svenska folkets hjärtan (och nerver). Få människor får så många hjärtan att bulta och ögon att se rött. Vi hör och ser honom överallt. När han crashar en lägenhetsvisning och börjar steka omelett. När han kör pizzaslicear med radiostyrd helikopter över Sverigedemokrater...

Sziget Festival is a non-stop music and arts festival with hundreds of program offered every day for its 7 days. This time some new names have been added to the line-up such as Afrojack, Die Antwoord, Skunk Anansie, Troyboi and many more. Sziget is held on a lovely green island in the middle of Budapest between 10-17 August. Advance round 1 tickets are available until 5th May.

Sziget aims to represent as many genres and art forms as possible. This is the place where contemporary circus and EDM are neighbors and where the to-do list of visitors is just endless. Sziget, the week-long music and arts festival in Budapest, is happy to announce the program of its World Music Stage. This year the venue will start its program on Day 0, 11th August, opening with Buika and following with such names as Goran Bregovic and his Wedding and Funeral Band, Leningrad, Rachid Taha and many more from all over the globe. The Island of Freedom will happen between 10-17 August.

Sziget continuously offers one of the most diverse and progressive music programs, presenting artists from across the globe. This year, music fans can enjoy some first-class music at Sziget’s World Music Stage where concerts will start in the afternoon going till the evening, but the venue will not close afterwards as DJs will bring the beats till sunrise...

Dagens släpp stavas triss i musikaliska innovatörer. Amerikanska rapparen Mac Miller är en av de största stjärnorna på hiphopscenen idag, hitmakarna Miike Snow bjuder upp till allsång och ergonomiskt dansgolv och Cigarettes After Sex kommer sprida drömska popvibbar över flygfältet i sommar.

Mac Miller gick från att ha varit en gräsrotsrappare till att göra flera mäktiga samarbeten med storheter som Bun B, Kendrick Lamar, Rock Ross och Juicy J i rekordfart. Alla rapälskare känner till albumet ”Blue Slide Park”, debutalbumet som kom 2011 där hiten ”Donald Trump” toppade Billboardlistan och som onekligen blivit aktuell nu igen...

Sziget Festival is continuously adding names to their already colorful and exciting line-up. The Island of Freedom was awarded to be the festival with the ”Best European Line-up” last year and aims to keep this title. This time Manu Chao La Ventura, Hardwell, Kaiser Chiefs, Fidlar and many more have been added. The festival is held in Budapest between 10-17 August, 2016.

Sziget Festival is again working on a very colorful and exciting line-up, representing all genres. Just recently Rihanna, Sia, Noel Gallagher and many more joined the already prominent program, but there is no stopping this time either. This year’s End Show, on the last day of the week-long festival on 16th August, will be hosted by Hardwell, who will definitely crown the last Main Stage slot of 2016. Manu Chao La Ventura

I måndags konstaterade vi att det bara är 100 dagar kvar till festivalen, och när vi nu är nere på tvåsiffrigt tycker vi att det passar fint med ett salig blandning av röjig folkmusik, svensk rock’n’roll och nya popförälskelser. Vi välkomnar Flogging Molly, The Sounds och Highasakite!
